First realeased on their self titled album, "Killing in the Name of" is known to be one of Rage Against the Machine's signature songs. It emplies radical ideas about U.S. forces, and anti-goverment slogans. It is famous for being one of the most controversial songs in Rage Against the Machines history. For a while the song was aired on the radio, but was soon banned for lyrics screaming "F**k you I wont do what you tell me! F**k you I wont do what you tell me!" The song addresses political issues and foriegn issues as well. This was one of the bands most direct approach to getting their ideas and beliefs across the line.
